Regularly I meet people who have had enough. Whatever it may be, you insert “whatever” here, they have had enough. Enough of their boss, enough of their habits, a weak spiritual walk, enough of their weight, their lack of discipline, their financial status, their career… Get the picture? I could go on and on, because I meet those people every day. And, besides meeting those people, I was one of those people. Like you, something always stopped me from accomplishing what I wanted to do. What stops you? Where do you want to be?
Confront what stops you and work around it. I am not a huge football fan and I have never played any organized football, but the one thing that irritates me to no end is to watch a team try to take a 5’8″ player and run him up the middle into the guys who are 6″6″ and 350 pounds. Sometimes it works and often times it does not. Continuously they try, play after play, and it seems they do nothing but run out time on the clock?
Then, all of the sudden, they drop back and fire the ball over top those big dudes to an awaiting receiver down the field. Or, maybe they decide to not run up the middle, but go for the sides and down the field. Success! Progress. Achievement! Get the picture?
What is stopping you from accomplishing what you need and want to do? It is often said our worst obstacle, and often critic, is the one we brush the teeth of everyday – the same one you see in the mirror!
Are you running the clock out? What can you do to move it forward and take advantage of the time you have?
Leave a comment of encouragement for someone else who is “stopped”.
