There has yet to be a country more prosperous than our country \u2013 the USA!!\u00a0 I am so thankful that God allowed me to live in this great country and experience its many benefits.\u00a0 Having traveled outside this country a few times, I am reminded how well we have it right here.<\/p>\n
Only in America can a poor kid grow up to be president.\u00a0 Only in America could a poor kid grow up to be wealthy and help the lives of those less fortunate.\u00a0 Only in America\u2026<\/p>\n
As you look at your financial life today, let me ask you one simple question \u2013 are you living the American dream or is it more of a nightmare?<\/p>\n
Many will agree with me that the American dream is alive and well today.\u00a0 I agree, but few are those who are actually experiencing that dream.\u00a0 Most have every intention of living the good life, but every day it gets harder and harder just to meet the payments on the dream.<\/p>\n
It used to be that at three bedrooms, one and a half bathroom was luxury.\u00a0 Today, we need space.\u00a0 We need four to five massive bedrooms, multiple bedrooms and multiple stories.\u00a0 Fancy kitchens, media rooms and specialty rooms have now taken the place of a place to live.<\/p>\n
As for transportation, we have gone way overboard as well.\u00a0 Recent reports tell us that the average car payment today is well over $400 per month.\u00a0 That same vehicle, Kiplinger\u2019s Magazine says, loses 60% of its value in the first four years.\u00a0 By then we are tired of it and want something new even though we are upside down in this loan.<\/p>\n
Let me make myself perfectly clear, I am not against stuff.\u00a0 I love stuff.\u00a0 I don\u2019t love being in bondage to the stuff and not being able to enjoy it.\u00a0 Within means, enjoy your stuff after you have paid for it with cash!<\/p>\n
Coupled with the financial decisions we have made is a corporate world that is becoming more and more demanding.\u00a0 While technology was supposed to be our friend and make our lives more productive, in many ways it has us more tethered to the company.\u00a0 Many today work jobs they hate and cannot leave due to the financial needs at home.<\/p>\n
Ae you setting aside money for the future \u2013 emergencies and retirement?\u00a0 Most are not and have no idea that one emergency could wipe them out.\u00a0 Even less important is the fact that they have nothing for the future.<\/p>\n
It is a never-ending battle \u2013 until you owe no one anything!!\u00a0 Imagine what life would be like if you owed no one anything.\u00a0 Outside of your monthly utilities, groceries and the like, what could you do?<\/p>\n
