John Wooden’s died in 2010. \u00a0Today, his legacy is still alive with his Pyramid of Success. \u00a0These short bits of inspiration helped so many basketball players and people alike. \u00a0If you have missed any of the three previous blog posts, you can find them at my website by clicking here.<\/a><\/p>\n

This week I am sharing two of the final three traits in this pyramid.<\/p>\n

13. Poise <\/strong>– “Be yourself. \u00a0Don’t be thrown off by events whether good or bad.” \u00a0Things in this world hit all around you all the time. \u00a0In working with my clients, we refer to those thing as “bombs”. \u00a0Sometimes those bombs are big and dangerous, others are no more than smoke and some noise. \u00a0Being prepared and knowing how to act will keep you focused on what is important in your life. \u00a0Live your plan!!<\/p>\n

14. Confidence<\/strong> – “The strongest steel is well-founded self-belief. \u00a0It is earned, not given.” \u00a0Confidence does not equate to cockiness. \u00a0Belief in yourself is something that comes from knowing yourself. \u00a0That self-beleif is built knowing what you can and can not do. \u00a0Do what you do the best you can – be confident. \u00a0Work on the areas you need to improve so that you can be confident.<\/p>\n
