Recently I received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad\u00a0 attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the bird’s mouth was\u00a0 rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. I tried and tried to change the bird’s\u00a0 attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and\u00a0 anything else I could think of to “clean up” the bird’s\u00a0 vocabulary.<\/strong><\/p>\n Finally, I was fed up and I yelled at the parrot. The parrot\u00a0 yelled back. I shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder. So,\u00a0 in desperation, I threw up my hands, grabbed the bird and put him in the\u00a0 freezer.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and\u00a0 screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet.<\/strong><\/p>\n Not a peep was heard for over\u00a0 a minute. Fearing that I’d hurt the parrot, I quickly opened the door to the\u00a0 freezer.<\/strong><\/p>\n The parrot calmly stepped out onto my outstretched arm and said,\u00a0 “I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. I’m\u00a0 sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to\u00a0 do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable\u00a0 behavior.”<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong><\/p>\n I was stunned at the change in the bird’s attitude.<\/strong><\/p>\n As I was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his\u00a0 behavior, the bird continued,<\/strong><\/p>\n “May I ask what the turkey\u00a0 did?”<\/strong><\/p>\n I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving and that you have so much to be thankful for. \u00a0You know, you really do!!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A friend sent this to me yesterday…..
