Whether it is flashy friends they are trying to impress, fancy clothes, big houses or fast, shiny cars. \u00a0Many live beyond their means just to impress others.<\/p>\n<p>What this typically means is debt and\/or a loss for what their financial future could be. \u00a0Whether keeping up to impress the Jones&#8217; or trying to impress someone they meet on the street people, and maybe you, are missing what could have been.<\/p>\n<p>I find it fun to be sitting at a stop light and next to a flashy, shiny new car. \u00a0In many cases you can safely assume that the driver, by his or her actions, is trying to impress. \u00a0As we wait for the light to change, our eyes meet. \u00a0His or hers seem to say, &#8220;Man, you know I look good in this car&#8221;. \u00a0My thought is more, &#8220;I am sure glad I do \u00a0not have that payment&#8221;!<\/p>\n<p>What truly makes you? \u00a0The things? \u00a0Relationships? \u00a0What is it and what kind of control does it have on you?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What makes you? \u00a0I mean what truly makes who you are? \u00a0Is it stuff? \u00a0Expensive stuff? \u00a0Impressive stuff? \u00a0Flashy stuff? \u00a0Maybe money? \u00a0It may even be your job.
