{"id":222,"date":"2010-06-03T10:42:59","date_gmt":"2010-06-03T10:42:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.myfinancialfocus.net\/mainsite\/?p=222"},"modified":"2025-08-24T06:39:14","modified_gmt":"2025-08-24T10:39:14","slug":"more-free-software","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.myfinancialfocus.net\/mainsite\/index.php\/more-free-software\/","title":{"rendered":"More FREE Software!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I meet clients all the time who need to have software tools like the Microsoft Office Suite, but they simply can not afford the package. \u00a0Spreadsheets, word processor, presentation software &#8211; they all are needed from time to time, but the cost to purchase is so high. \u00a0Until now.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.openoffice.org\">Openoffice<\/a> is a direct competitor to Microsoft Office and it is free. \u00a0Offering most of the same tools that Office offers, users are able to download this suite of products and use them at no cost (a donation is suggested). \u00a0While the product is not exactly the same in look and feel, there are very few pieces that may be missing from the average user.<\/p>\n<p>This suite of applications can open, update and save files in the Microsoft extension so that Microsoft users can trade files with you and you with them. \u00a0The biggest trick here is to save the files in the Microsoft extension before sending the file to someone else.<\/p>\n<p>I highly recommend this product from Oracle (formerly Sun Microsystems) to anyone (Mac or PC) \u00a0who wants to save money and have a suite of applications that are essential in today&#8217;s computer world.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.openoffice.org\">www.openoffice.org<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I meet clients all the time who need to have software tools like the Microsoft Office Suite, but they simply can not afford the package. \u00a0Spreadsheets, word processor, presentation software &#8211; they all are needed from time to time, but the cost to purchase is so high. \u00a0Until now.
