{"id":1752,"date":"2014-06-19T11:33:47","date_gmt":"2014-06-19T15:33:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.myfinancialfocus.net\/mainsite\/?p=1752"},"modified":"2025-08-24T06:38:44","modified_gmt":"2025-08-24T10:38:44","slug":"economy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.myfinancialfocus.net\/mainsite\/index.php\/economy\/","title":{"rendered":"How&#8217;s Your Economy?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Several years ago, I met and helped a guy named Herman Cain. \u00a0Herman was running for the US Senate from Georgia and I helped his campaign in my county. \u00a0Herman Cain went on to be a 2012 Presidential candidate and today is a syndicated talk show host. \u00a0I am not sure Herman ever asked me, &#8220;how&#8217;s is your economy&#8221;, but one of the things he taught me during that Senate campaign was, &#8220;there are three economies in this world.&#8221; \u00a0He went on to share with me those three economies.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>World&#8217;s Economy &#8211; Things way out of your control and on an international\/global scale.<\/li>\n<li>US Economy &#8211; The effects of the policies and actions of businesses and consumers in this country. \u00a0The world&#8217;s economy is cleary impacted with the US economy and vice versa.<\/li>\n<li>Your Economy &#8211; The ONLY one you have any control over.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Knowing that last one is the only one you have any real impact on, how is your economy? I know you watch the news or hear others talk about how bad things are, but what about your economy? \u00a0How are you and your family doing with what you can and cannot control?<\/p>\n<p>Little did Herman know, but my family was struggling at the time to fix &#8220;our economy&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>What can you do to improve your economy? \u00a0Clearly you can see and hear the politicians talk about what needs to be done to improve the US economy. \u00a0The G8, the G12, the G-whatever meet, as well as other groups, to see what they can do to help the world&#8217;s economy. \u00a0What impact do those things really have on your street and in your household.<\/p>\n<p>The news media tells us that the GDP is growing, unemployment \u00a0is dropping, housing sales are increasing, vehicle sales are increasing, the stock market is on the upward path&#8230;. all these positive signs, but what about for you? Living on a solid financial wellness plan, saving for future needs and retirement, teaching your children how to manage their income are all positive things to manage your economy.<\/p>\n<p>You can have a positive impact on your economy. \u00a0<strong>What are you doing to make that positive impact?
