{"id":1312,"date":"2013-01-16T12:12:40","date_gmt":"2013-01-16T17:12:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.myfinancialfocus.net\/mainsite\/?p=1312"},"modified":"2025-08-24T06:38:52","modified_gmt":"2025-08-24T10:38:52","slug":"my-break-is-over","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.myfinancialfocus.net\/mainsite\/index.php\/my-break-is-over\/","title":{"rendered":"My Break Is Over"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the last several weeks I have taken a break from writing blog posts. \u00a0There has been a great deal happening and I just decided to put this piece of my life and business on hold. \u00a0It has been a good time to refresh the ideas of blog posts and now it is time to get things fired up again.<\/p>\n<p>Since my self imposed hiatus much has happened. \u00a0Gun violence has occurred all over the country and most visibly in Connecticut. \u00a0Our country was on the verge of financial shutdown and once again our leaders missed another opportunity to lead financially. \u00a0Along with that, our congress and president have decided to not tackle the debt issue in any measurable way and to, again, kick the can a little farther down the road. In addition that same group has voted to allow your paycheck to go back down by way of payroll taxes.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, surveys say that Americans are taking on more debt. \u00a0Struggling to get ahead, people are borrowing more again. \u00a0Some reports that I have seen indicate that credit card debt has decreased and other areas, like student loans, have increased.<\/p>\n<p>The economy continues to sputter. \u00a0People, and many I personally know and\/or coach, are looking for jobs that seem to be elusive.<\/p>\n<p>Point is, there are several things to write about that affect all of us. \u00a0Whether financial, career, or just life &#8211; what are the things that are important to you? \u00a0What things can I write about that are interesting and helpful to you? \u00a0If they are important to you and your family, there is a very good chance that the same information is important to others.
