When you are highly detailed in your budget you will tend to miss more often and will have trouble staying motivated to continue.<\/p>\n When you get too granular or too detailed you tighten up and do not have the liberty to make changes that any given month are going to encounter. Setting a specific amount for the category allows you to adjust accordingly. You will likely find the areas that you may get overly specific are categories that you should be using cash in.<\/p>\n Make sure you are identifying everything you should, but broader categories and cash are a good combination to success month after month while letting you have the discipline to maintain as you should.
