For those who read this and have been around me any time over the last six months, \u00a0you know I have been trying to lose weight. My wife and I have both been on a plan to eat more responsibly and take care of ourselves. Myself, I also eliminated soft drinks from my intake at the very end of last year. While I only did diet drinks, one of my clients politely informed me that I was drinking chemicals. After reading the ingredients, I found I could not pronounce anything past water! Between the food changes and he loss of soft drinks, I have been able to change my weight, inches, and attitude.<\/p>\n
The other day I walked into my closet and noticed all the clothes I have in there. Honestly, I have clothes for many sizes. It then hit me – get rid of the fat clothes. Get rid of the option to move back to the old weight I was. Get rid of the garments that will allow me to return to old habits.<\/p>\n
A few years ago, I was able to lose 35 pounds! At one point, I began to see how many slacks I had that could now wear. What I found was that I had 35 pairs of slack hanging in my closet to wear. I actually kept it off for a long time and then an injury allowed me to get back to the old habits. Guess what? Since I still had the fat clothes, I \u00a0quietly slid right back into them. What if I had removed them from my closet and not allowed myself the ability to return to their comfort? The problem was – I did not!<\/p>\n
Finances is another area where it is wise to remove the things of the past. \u00a0Your bad habits that allowed you to build a mountain of debt, live outside your means, avoid a decent retirement, or made you slave to your lender can easily be fallen back into. \u00a0You have decided that you will not use the plastic anymore, but still insist on keeping it around will find it is very easy to fall back into some old habits.<\/p>\n
