I am one of those who has fundamentally disagreed with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), aka Obamacare, since its beginning. It is truly not a case of democrat or republican, conservative or liberal – it is a mathematical equation. I never believed the president when he told all of America if we liked our insurance we could keep it nor when he said that the cost of insurance would go down for most Americans – it is math. With either one of those statements, and like the others made by him and other government leaders and politicians, they are simply not true and many Americans are today waking to find that to be the case today.
Like many that are starting to be heard, my insurance plan is ending. I just received notice that it ends effective 12/31/2013. Unlike what I have been told by my country’s leaders, the truth is in the letter I received and am showing here. On the back of that same letter is this quote – “We estimate 94% of the aver gate 2014 ACA Plan rate increase relative to the average 2013 December plan is due to healthcare reform.” That is there too and you can read it. 94%! That is not a smidgen of an increase and can no way be closely related to “go down’ as the president told us all. It is math.
Simple math will tell you that you can not pool everyone, regardless of health issues and needs, and expect a price that does not go up.
Unfortunately, what our government has done once again is ignore math. There is a continual give, give, give and the tax revenue does not support the expense. We have amassed, yes “we” because we elected all of them, over $17,000,000,000,000 in debt and we add to it each day.
What can you learn from this? It is math, even in your life. It is crucial that you get your own finances in order. Do not be like politicians and live in a dream world. Your choices have consequences. Be prepared to make the tough decisions for you and your family to protect and prepare you for the future. Be prepared, now or in the near future, to pay more for your medical costs. Math will tell you those costs are going up.
And, by the way, this is no Halloween prank and the Affordable Care Act is anything but affordable.

My father is retired and on medicare. His costs have gone up 6 times since Obama has taken office. Fortunately he has planned well for this stage of his life but it seems like the people that this is supposed to help most are the ones that are getting hurt the most.
